Ready to change your definition of ROI?

Calculating return on investment (ROI) typically involves multiplying a short-term benefit over the lifetime of the investment. But this method underestimates the impact that truly transformative innovations can have on your bottom line.

Agilent has a powerful new metric: return on innovation. By providing savings and efficiencies that impact every GC function, Agilent GC systems help you maximize profitability and minimize costs.

To find out how transformative innovations can transform your bottom line, download our new e-book.

Challenging sample matrices, compromised data, and user technical limitations waste both time and resources. Intuvo answers these problems with innovations such as solid-state column heating, ferrule-free seals, and Guard Chip technology that eliminates column clipping once and for all. Intuvo even lets you run ~250 incremental samples per year.

The Agilent 7693A automatic liquid sampler provides fast, precise injections for Agilent GC and GC/MS systems. Even better, its modular design allows the autosampler to grow with your lab. For example, you could start with a tower and 16 vials, then expand to a 150-vial tray. Or, upgrade to a heater/mixer/barcode reader module. You can even add a second tower for dual-simultaneous injections.

Are you running a simple GC application that does not require extensive data processing or compliance support? Agilent DA Express for the Agilent 8860 GC simplifies data analysis and makes it easy to integrate signal data, build calibration curves, and create reports. In addition, you can view methods, sequencing, and DA Express directly on the 8860 GC browser interface.

Built around Agilent 5th-generation electronic pneumatic control (EPC), this module bridges two EPC channels to deliver a single carrier gas flow to your GC. So you can use helium for your GC runs, and switch to an alternate gas (such as nitrogen) when your GC is idle. A third EPC channel serves as a purged vent to prevent cross-contamination of gases. In addition, the module is fully programmable using the sleep/wake functions of OpenLab CDS.

How can you meet your analytical needs today—and tomorrow?

It doesn’t matter whether your lab is large or small, contract or in-house. Success depends on the timeliness and accuracy of the data generated by your instruments and staff. In fact, 85% of pharma customers surveyed said that they need instruments with greater sophistication and specificity to move medicines through the pipeline more quickly.

That’s why, at Agilent, we innovate with purpose. And every step of the way, your goals become our goals: improving user experience, laboratory operation, and business success.

Efficient

Efficient

How does it feel to operate at peak productivity?

It feels great, because you spend less time troubleshooting problems and more time delivering results. It also means that you can plan—and stick to—your budgets—and keep your team highly satisfied with their work. No wonder 65% of lab leaders welcome innovations to increase lab efficiency.

However, you must carefully balance the need for speed and efficiency with the demand for unwavering quality. Agilent smart GCs give you reliable results on location, so you can spend more time on what matters, where it matters.

To start your lab down the path to greater GC efficiency, download our new e-book.

Multiple options are available to accelerate your analyses. For example, adding pillow to the Agilent 8890 GC improves standard oven ramp rates. If you need greater speed, Agilent Intuvo with direct column heating enables oven ramp rates up to 250 °C/min. The fastest heating rates can be achieved with LTM II (low thermal mass) technology for the 8890 GC, which allows a 1,200 °C/min heating rate.

Many labs are switching to alternate carrier gases. For example, nitrogen is an inexpensive option when the separation chemistry achieves sufficient resolution. Hydrogen, too, has excellent chromatographic qualities and can increase throughput. The Agilent hydrogen sensor detects leaks early, and puts your system into standby mode, if necessary.

A GC method translator is built into the method setup window for all Agilent Chromatography Data Systems within the GC SW Driver. It is also available in the browser interface for Agilent 8860 and 8890 GCs, and as a free download from Agilent.

Method translator makes it easy to convert, speed up, and improve GC methods by changing factors such as carrier gas, column dimensions, outlet flow, and detector. You can also use it to optimize or convert GC methods.
