  • Store DNA Reagents and ScreenTape devices: 2 – 8 °C (36 – 46 °F).
  • Store partially used ScreenTape devices upright at 2 – 8 °C (36 – 46 °F) for a maximum of 2 weeks.
  • Never freeze ScreenTape devices. Discard any accidentally frozen ScreenTape devices.

  • This depends on the ScreenTape assay used. For best sizing precision and accuracy, a ladder per ScreenTape device is recommended.
  • An electronic ladder is available for the High Sensitivity D1000 ScreenTape assay. The electronic ladder can be selected in the TapeStation Controller software and is added to the data automatically.
  • The High Sensitivity D5000 ScreenTape assay requires a ladder run per ScreenTape device. This assay does not offer usage of electronic ladders. Running a ladder per ScreenTape device is a must in analysis which involve multiple ScreenTape devices of this assay.

  • No. The dye used in the DNA assays preferably binds to double stranded nucleic acids and as such it is always more affine to the double stranded DNA sample or the markers.

More detailed troubleshooting information on hardware, software and application issues can be found in the TapeStation System Manual or in the Agilent Information Center, which is part of the TapeStation software package.
