Audit Trails

OpenLab CDS makes audit trail generation and review easy and reliable. All user activities are recorded in secure, computer generated, time-stamped audit trails for any operator entry and action that creates, modifies, or deletes an electronic record. The audit trail captures the user ID, date and time of the change, and before and after values with a reason why the change was made.

For the purpose of reviewing and printing, audit trails are available in a user-configurable viewer. The newest release of OpenLab CDS is the only CDS that allows electronic review of the audit trail and its associated records, together. Other systems require the user to print out and sign audit trail reviews.
