UV-Vis-NIR External Diffuse Reflectance Accessories
The external DRAs available for the Cary 4000, 5000, 6000i, and 7000 UV-Vis-NIR instruments take advantage of the photometric performance of the spectrophotometers for the highest accuracy and precision in materials analysis. The external DRA-900 (PMT), with exceptionally low photometric noise, wide photometric range, and good linearity, sets industry standards for research and reference work.
The external DRA-1800 (PMT/InGaAs) provides superior signal-to-noise and detection limits to give cleaner spectra with better resolution more quickly. The external DRA-2500 (PMT/PbS) hosts Cary 5000s PbSmart technology to extend the performance of PbS detectors. The PbS NIR detector is Peltier cooled and optimized in real time.

Advancing Nanomaterial Research with Optical Spectroscopy. Focus on Wet Chemical Synthesis of Semiconductor Nanomaterials.
The ability to create and construct material at scales around 1 nm to 100 nm has given rise to a new class of nanomaterials with unique properties. These properties can be exploited in variety of commercial settings from construction to catalysis, through to improved sensors and better targeted herapeutics. In this webinar we’ll focus on wet-chemical synthesis - a versatile approach for controlling the purity, surface chemistry, and microstructure of nanomaterials using tailored reaction chemistries and processing conditions. It enables us to move away from vacuum-based processes, therefore reducing the cost and improving the scalability of nanomaterials and related devices.
