The ATR forensics library for Agilent mobile FTIR spectrometers contains 13,137 spectra specifically selected for the forensics market. It includes materials categorized as biochemicals, forensics, white powders, hazardous and toxic chemicals, HPV chemicals, food additives, and explosives. The FTIR forensics analyzer package also offers a drugs and NPS (new psychoactive substances) library containing a range of drugs and drug-related items ideal for drug identification applications.

The new revision of software that powers the Cary 630 FTIR spectrometer—as well as Agilent handheld and mobile FTIR systems—is now supported on Microsoft’s latest operating system – Windows 11. The MicroLab Pharma 5.8 software now also utilizes Microsoft SQL Server 2022 Express, supported by Microsoft until 2028.

Agilent Releases FTIR Narcotics Identification Capability
A new comprehensive library (TICTAC FTIR ATR drugs library) is now available for deployment with Agilent compact and portable FTIR systems for drug identification applications. The new library contains 643 drugs and drug related substances with focus on new psychoactive substances (NPS), and is paired with the new features in Agilent’s application-focused FTIR software, MicroLab, to provide a simple, fast solution for drug ID.
