Specificity	Monoclonal Mouse Anti-Mammaglobin is reported to react with a conformational epitope, as indicated by its lack of reactivity in ELISA with overlapping peptides corresponding to the mammaglobin sequence. Clone 304-1A5 reacts in Western blots with recombinant mammaglobin and with lysates of breast carcinoma cell line MDA-MB-415 and primary breast tumor cell line 450-17. No reactivity is observed in primary breast cancer cell line 450-88. Although the predicted molecular mass for mammaglobin is 9 kDa, anti-Mammaglobin detected bands of 14 kDa and 21 kDa by Western blot. The 9 kDa form of mammaglobin was observed by Western blot after enzymatic deglycosylation of MDA-MB-415 indicating glycosylation of the mammaglobin protein (4). See package insert for reference(s).
