DB-HeavyWax GC Columns
The ability to bake out the column at the end of the analysis reduces sample matrix effects, limiting carryover and the risk of ghost peaks. The column also exhibits very low bleed, which results in better signal-to-noise ratios and lower detection limits (LOD), especially for late-eluting compounds.
- WAX GC Columns
Product Details
- Polyethylene glycol selectivity
- Maximum operating temperatures of 280 °C isothermal and 290 °C programmed
- Fast analysis, with shorter run times due to extended temperature limit
- Retention time stability and increased column lifetime, even when used at maximum operating temperature
- Ability to bake out the column at the end of the analysis to reduce sample matrix effect and limit carryover and the risk of ghost peaks
- Extended list of analytes to higher molecular weight compounds
- Broader application range for multidimensional GC applications, as the oven temperature can be increased compared to standard WAX column
