The 8697 Headspace Sampler and 8697 Headspace Sampler-XL tray are laboratory workhorses that combine the latest instrument intelligence with advanced hardware features. A microchannel-based EPC module with atmospheric compensation and valve-based sampling help minimize carryover and variability on the 8697 series samplers.

They integrate directly with the Agilent 8890, 8860, and Intuvo 9000 GCs, so they can expertly guide users through the various tasks required to keep the whole system running optimally – automatic leak checks, guided troubleshooting, downloadable system logs, retention time and resolution charting, and consumable tracking.

- Isolated carrier flow path as in the 7697A headspace sampler to safely vent your vials
- Improved transfer line with a captive septum retainer nut and improved inlet bracket for a more secure connection
- Optimized sample overlap lets you simultaneously heat and shake up to 12 vials
- Supports 10-mL, 20-mL, or 22-mL vials with no limitations on running mixed vial sizes
- Removable sample racks and smart park allow trays to be exchanged while the headspace sampler is operating so you can add samples as the sequence is running
- Optional cooling plate for the 8697-XL tray can chill sensitive samples to 4 °C
- Optional barcode reader for streamlined sample tracking
- Smart park button and tray rack LEDs show the status of the headspace sampler
- Transfer line interface (XLSI) accessory allows a headspace sampler and ALS to connect to the same inlet on the GC
