- XF Assay Kits, Reagents & Cell Assay Media
Product Details
- Uses substrate pathway specific inhibitors (etomoxir, UK5099, BPTES) to interrogate the three primary substrates that fuel the mitochondria: long chain fatty acids , glucose/pyruvate, and/or glutamine
- Compounds are reconstituted directly in the assay medium, eliminating the need for DMSO or other solvents
- Each lot is rigorously tested and validated with functional assays to deliver consistent and robust results, eliminating the costs associated with failed experiments
Automatic measurement of energy metabolism in real time
Agilent Seahorse XF Analyzers measure oxygen consumption rate (OCR) and extracellular acidification rate (ECAR) of live cells in a multi-well plate, interrogating key cellular functions such as mitochondrial respiration and glycolysis. Seahorse XF Analyzers perform compound addition and mixing, label-free analytical detection, and automatic measurement of OCR and ECAR in real time.
