Product Details
- Capture images using several methods including single image capture, montaging, Z-stacking, and more, to visualize greater areas and depths of a sample. These methods are used to capture short- and long-term kinetic workflows, while beaconing allows image-independent capture across multiple wells of a microplate, or across a vessel. Image capture is optimized with image- and laser-based autofocus.
- Gen5 provides exceptional image-processing capabilities such as background removal, deconvolution, image stitching, plus Z-projection and 3D rendering. Collectively, the image-processing functions facilitate the analysis of complex sample biology across a wide range of applications.
- The primary cell analysis capabilities in Gen5 enable automated confluence determination and object counting, ranging from whole organisms to subcellular structures (top images). Each can be done using transmitted light or fluorescence imaging channels.
- The secondary cellular analysis capabilities enable masking of a second area around the primary mask to gain additional information specific to that object (bottom images). This can be critical for assays such as signal translocation, DNA damage, tumor invasion, evaluation of cytoplasmic structures, and others.
- Software modules available for use with Gen5 enable automated, advanced application-specific analyses. These include neurite outgrowth, spot counting, automatic region of interest identification, single object tracking, and kinetic scratch wound healing assays.
- Image and data publishing include detailed graphical representations of calculated results can be generated within the Gen5 software, including IC50/EC50 graphs, linear and parallel line analysis, plus scatterplots and histograms. Graphs, data, high-resolution images, and movie files can be exported automatically for publication or other downstream applications.
Object Tracking
With the incorporation of the object tracking module, available within Agilent BioTek Gen5 software for imaging and microscopy, this can be easily accomplished in a fully automated fashion.
Learn MoreAutomatic Region of Interest Identification
This process enables walk-away slide scanning for four or more slides, if combined with Agilent automation offerings, and can be used with the Agilent BioTek Lionheart automated microscopes and Agilent BioTek Cytation imaging multimode readers.
Learn MoreSpot Counting
The spot counting module available in Agilent BioTek Gen5 software enables the number of spots counted, and other information, to be tied to the original primary mask data, allowing these values to be known for each object initially identified in the image.
Learn MoreNeurite Outgrowth
Neurite outgrowth is the process by which new projections form on neurons. Neuronal outgrowth is important in the study of normal development and regeneration, and the study of how inhibition or stimulation of neurite outgrowth occurs in disorders such as Parkinsons disease and Alzheimers disease.
