Agilent Technologies Inc., (NYSE: A) proudly announces that its Brazilian facility has been honored with three awards from the Brazilian Pharmaceutical Industry Association, Sindusfarma. The 28th edition of the Sindusfarma Quality Awards recognizes outstanding suppliers and service providers in the pharmaceutical industry. Agilent Brazil received awards in three categories.

  • First place: Best Software for the Pharmaceutical Industry, for OpenLab CDS.
  • Second place: Best Quality Control Equipment Supplier.
  • Third place: Best Service Provider.

The Sindusfarma awards are conducted annually, with pharmaceutical industries voting for the best suppliers. The top three companies selected (by vote number) undergo a quality audit based on GMP, evaluating the following criteria: QMS - Quality Management System, Management Review, Audit and Operations; Training System and Effectiveness; and CAPA Corrective and Preventive Action.

Sindusfarma was founded in 1933, and is the largest representative entity of the pharmaceutical industry in Brazil. Sindusfarma brings together national and international companies of all sizes and specialties, along with suppliers and service providers in the pharmaceutical production chain. These entities account for over 95% of the drug market in Brazil.
