Agilent Product Recycling Program
Agilent aims to minimize the environmental impact of its products and operations. Agilent encourages a circular economy model for many of our products with instrument refurbishment and resale through the Certified Pre-Owned Instrument Program, which addresses the requirements posed by the European WEEE (Waste from Electrical & Electronic Equipment) Directive.
Many Agilent products are candidates for trade-in credit to be used for new or different Agilent products or services, or for a cash buyback. More information, including eligibility and buyback pricing, is available on the Agilent Trade-In and Buyback Program, or you can contact us directly using our on-line form. This is the most environmentally friendly and financially beneficial way of replacing your equipment.
Alternatively, for Agilent products or regions not currently included in the Trade-In and Buyback Programs we offer a product recycling program.
Agilent Product Recycling Program
If you are not using an Agilent trade up or trade in solution, discover which options are available to get your old Agilent product recycled. Several factors affect available options:
- Local Environmental laws
- Countries where Agilent products are sold by distributors
- Terms and conditions between your company and Agilent or distributor
- Agilent appointed transport and recycling service providers
Electron Capture Detector Return
Per nuclear regulatory requirements, Agilent also accepts the return of all Agilent or HP Electron Capture Detectors (ECDs). For more information on ECD take back specific to your country, please contact your local distributor or Agilent representative. Please note that ECD take-back is separate to Agilent Product Recycling. Any ECDs must be removed from products prior to recycling.
Thank you for your support in ensuring your Agilent product is handled in an environmentally sustainable way.
