Assessing bioenergetic function in response to oxidative stress by metabolic profiling

WHAT YOU
WILL LEARN
The interplay of oxidative stress and mitochondrial oxygen consumption has been the subject of numerous studies over the last few decades. It is clear that the cellular response to these oxidants depends on the stress agent, the duration of exposure, and the concentration. However, the importance of cell type is only now being fully recognized due to new measurement techniques that allow for maintenance of the cellular context during the measurement.

IN THIS WEBINAR WE WILL DISCUSS
  • Three approaches for examining the impact of an oxidant on cellular bioenergetic function
  • How different cells respond to the same oxidant
  • Applications of these protocols to novel model systems
